My name is Nick Kahmann and I currently reside in Yakima County, Washington. I was born and raised in the Midwest and I have lived with a moderately-severe bilateral hearing loss since birth. Growing up I did not have any institutional support such as CWDR of which made it extremely difficult to find success and acceptance in my community. However, I am fortunate to have the love and support of my family and friends to whom I owe so much. It is with this lived experience that I understand how important community advocacy is to creating a better tomorrow and it is for that reason I joined the CWDR's Board of Directors. Professionally I am an attorney in Washington where I practice federal Indian law and in my spare time I love to read, cook, BBQ, hunt, fish, and enjoy time with friends.
