Emergency Preparedness Advocate
Our organization is partnering with Kittitas County Public Health Department (KCPHD) and the Kittitas County Emergency Management Council (KCEMC) to strengthen emergency preparedness, response, and recovery efforts.
Key activities include:
Engaging with local emergency management partners to assess capabilities, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
Attending and reporting at monthly emergency management meetings.
Evaluating and enhancing emergency response plans to address Access and Functional Needs (AFN) considerations.
Assisting in the development and update of crisis communication and emergency response plans.
Participating in emergency preparedness training, including KCPHD’s annual flu clinic and tabletop exercises.
Supporting targeted crisis communication strategies for diverse communities.
Providing technical assistance to agencies and organizations to improve emergency preparedness and response for individuals with Access and Functional Needs.
Through these efforts, we aim to enhance community resilience and ensure inclusive emergency preparedness for all residents of Kittitas County.
