Marina Huato

Hello, my name is Marina Huato and I am Covid 19- Advocate and I joined December 2024. I have a strong love and passion for the less fortunate, and people who get overlooked and that is why I decided to join CWDR. CWDR values align with mine. I have a set of diverse skills that I have gained working in higher education. I had the privilege of working for Community Health as a Covid-19 Screener and quickly transitioned to Administrative Assistant. After two years of gaining experience in medical documentation I transitioned to working for the Dean of the College of Business as her personal assistant where I learned about different grants and funds available for students with financial needs. I want to continue helping those in need and I know this specific position will allow me to reach rural communities who need an advocate. I am very grateful for revery opportunity that has crossed my path that has allowed me to help these in need.

Outside of work I love volunteering as a village leader, serve in the worship team and if I have more time to spare I love visiting my home in Mattawa and spend time with my family and pets. To add to that, I also enjoy hosting events and arts and crafts. Overall my love for people and animals have allowed me to continuously grow and be given opportunities that have helped me reach my goals.
