Transitioning individuals into safer housing:
As we know, long-term care facilities across the country were hit hard during the first outbreak of the Covid-19 virus in 2019. As a result, there were a large number of fatalities amongst both residents and staff, accounting for 31% of all Covid-19 deaths in the US as of June 30, 2021. Since then, there has been a spike in deaths in August of 2021 due to the Delta variant.
Activities around mental health and wellness:
Provide companion/personal support
Facilitate peer support group meetings
Arts and crafts like painting
Mindfulness practice after each activity
Outdoor activities like nature walks
