Central Washington Disability Resources offers a range of training activities, curriculum for daily life skills, safety and well-being, and financial stability: All customized to meet individual needs.

Independent Living Specialists work one-on-one to create individual goals for independence and road maps for achieving them. Some examples include:

  • Social Skills

  • Self-care

  • Household Management

  • Transportation Training

  • Social Service Programs

  • Housing Applications

  • Access to Communication

  • Mobility/Accessibility

  • Personal growth and self-direction

  • Social, recreation, and community involvement

  • Soft Skills Employment Training

You will work one-on-one with a CWDR Independent Living Specialist who will help you develop an independent living plan. You choose what goals to pursue, how much time to spend pursuing these goals, and whether to abandon old goals or add new ones. In other words, you direct your own individualized program at the pace you want to work. And you have the power to drop out of the program whenever you wish to do so.
